George Alfred Caldwell

George served a Representative in the Kentucky legislature, 1839 and 1840. He was commissioned a major and quartermaster in the Mexican War, 26 Jun 1846 - brevetted Lt. Col. on 13 Sep 1847. George A. Caldwell was elected to the 31st Congress (1849-1851) but did not run for re-election, returning to his practice of law in Louisville, KY. Buried Cave Hill Cemetery.
