Mrs. Lucy W. Holtzclaw, widow of Judge John G. Joltzclaw, late of Perifried, Greene County, is dead. Mrs. Holtzclaw was the mother of the late Judge Henry M. Holtzclaw of Perry, Ga.; Judge Jesse A. Holtzclaw of South Arizona; Robert Newsom Holtzclaw, deceased, and John Graham Holtzclaw, Jr. who was killed in the late war; Mrs. Ann English, Mrs. Eliza. English, Mrs. Mary Thornton, deceased, Mrs. Julia Fluker of Atlanta, and the sister of Judge Newsom of Atlanta.
Mrs. Holzclaw was nearly ninety years of age. For more than fifty years she illustrated the humble and devout Christian. She was a noble woman and her Christian conduct beautified her long Christian life. She was a woman of very fine sense and warm attachments.
