I don't know that I can help much but am so glad to connect with someone else interested in this family. My Mom had always told us her gm Orlena E Pruitt was married to Dan Ricketts who either died or was killed in war. They had no children and she married James H Gooch 1877 Christian Co., MO and they had 2 children. When I started researching I found that she had received a pension for Hugh D Ricketts who she had married 8-13-1865 in Ozark, MO. Hugh Daniel Ricketts who my family had always called Dan died 12-11-1871 in Dent Co., MO. The 1850 census Greene Co., MO has a Daniel Ricketts 15 TN with brothers?? I cannot find him in 1860. In 1870 he is with Orlena in Dent Co., MO. Thanks for answering,

Just noticed the following notes I made regarding the pension. Rebecca Pearce 1st wife died ca 1865, children Harriet Ricketts born 3-4-1858 and Samuel born 6-18-1860. Hope this helps...
