Geraldine Hartley, 89, Ava, passed away at 6:32 a.m. Wednesday November 3, 2004 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare. She was born Oct. 2, 1915 to Porter and Eva (Turner) Haden at Ava.
On April 5, 1939, she was married to Floyd "Pete" Allen Hartley at Ava and to this union one son was born.
Geraldine was a loving wife and mother. While she was in her own home she enjoyed keeping her home, quilting, tending her flowers, gardening and canning. Gerry was a long time member of the Star Workers.
Since moving to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare four years ago she enjoyed several trips to Branson shows. She also enjoyed having lunch at the Senior Citizens Center in Ava with many of her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Floyd "Pete" of Ava; son, Leonard Hartley and his wife, Evelyn of Jamesport, MO, one sister-in-law, Lorraine Hartley, Oklahoma, OK; one nephew, three nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday Nov. 7, at Arno Cemetery with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating.
