Frank Winford, age 89, was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to Frank and Maude (Moore) Winford on June 2, 1923 and passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Wagoner, Oklahoma while surrounded by his loving family.
After high school Frank joined the United States Army serving our country honorably during WWII.
Frank married the love of his life Jeanne H. Winford (Bach) on September 21, 1946 they have shared sixty five wonderful years of marriage together. He has been a resided in Wagoner for the past thirty four years moving from the Tulsa area. Frank was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, VFW and American Legion. One of Frank’s favorite past times was going fishing on Ft. Gibson Lake, he would always say “I would much rather go fishing than eat”.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Ray and Eugene Winford and two sisters; Freda and Dana Cluen.
Memorial service: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Wagoner, Oklahoma with Pastor Shannon officiating.
