John Perkins

(Ca 1718 - Bef Oct 1791)

This Perkins line found in WorldConnect database, "Keltner's I have Found"; updated 22 Jan 2010. it finally solved the problem of two Constantine Perkins that lived in Greene Co, MO in 1850.

John Perkins and Rachel Ferguson had several children baptized at St. James Northam; they also appear to have had several children older - born before the Rev. Douglas began keeping his record at St. James. The Douglas Register has as "assumed" marriage for this couple which is actually the earliest date they had a child baptized there. It has been picked up in many databases as the actual date of their marriage - it was not - 6 Sep 1757 is the date their son Richard was born.

It is even possible that some of the older children had a different mother - the age range is quite wide for all the children to have been born of the same woman, though it does fall within the range of possibility.
