Services were held this afternoon for Charles H. Minton, 82, Monroe, Michigan who died at 6:08 p.m. Monday at the Mercy Memorial Hospital emergency room.
The Reverend Randy Pierce (his grandson) officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, Lasalle, Michigan. Rupp Funeral was in charge of Arrangements.
Born November 3, 1917, in New Tazewell, Tennessee, he was the son of Tilmon and Tennie (Eastridge) Minton. He married Hazel C. McBee, December 11, 1937, in Pineville, Kentucky.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Barbara) Russell, Mrs. Eddie (Gwenda) Pierce, Mrs. Robert (Blauma) Langford and Mrs. Darrell (Karen) Bezeau, all of Monroe; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Sterling; and a sister, Nila Pitts.
