There is a marriage in Union Co for H. C. McBee to Dellie Wolfinbarger, 21 Oct 1901. He was age 23; she was 21. It seems to me that someone may have confused the names.

In some databases a Peter McBee mysteriously appears between Herman and Purly, although there was no such child in the census. He is stated to have married Della Wolfenbarger. I believe a case of mis-identification, or a man decided to change his name - perhaps he was called "Pete".

Herman C. McBee is buried Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville, Union Co. No grave for Della, but I found this, probably his so:
Harvey Sterling McBee, b. 2 Jul 1903, d. 29 Sep 1945. He married Vina Beatrice Russell and Edith B. Burnett. [he and Edith share a grave marker]

Ona McBee is buried Butcher Cemetery, Union Co, b. 1904, no death date. "Peter" also said to be buried there, but no marker and no other McBee graves.

In 1910, Union Co, Hh 70, there is listed:
Peter McBee, age 33, married once for 8 years, has his own farm. Wife Dilla, 26. 4 children, 3 of them living.
Harvey S., age 8. Ona O. dau. age 6. Vina, dau, age 1
and
Metsy, mother, age 69, widow, 7 children - 5 living
