Nathaniel's Will written 30 May 1754, proved 13 Jul 1754. Scituate Probate Records, Vol. 1, p.231-232
Ordered all lands to be sold as soon as convenient. To loving wife Ruth, use and interest of 300 #'s from the sale of the land for the term of her natural life. All remaining money to sons Simon, Dudley and John to be equally divided. Debts to be paid out of moveable estate and remainder to my wife and two daughters Mary and Ruth to be equally divided. Wife Ruth and son Simon to be Executors. Signed: Nathaniel Wade
Wit: Gideon Harris, Aaron Aldrich, Abiel (herXmark) Aldrich.

Nathaniel's oldest son was 23 when Nathaniel died; perhaps he felt the family would not survive if the property was not sold, providing a "trust fund" for his wife and young fund.
