Ernest Bernard Comstock
(24 Mar 1879 - 4 Apr 1956)
E. B. Comstock was most interested in genealogy. He updated Cyrus B. Comstock's book about the immigrant William Comstock, by adding several hundred names. The Comstock book by John A. Comstock states that "He has been of great assistance in the compilation of the record of his branch of the family." Only his direct line lineage is shown here, not the siblings.
E. B.'s book was, A Family History, Comstock and Allied Families, Baker, Titus, Vrooman, West, Bingham, etc. Self-published in Dallas, TX in 1930.
E. B. married Madge Barnes, 21 Dec 1906, Paulding, Paulding County, Ohio. They had two daughters and a son.
I found his Texas Death Certificate online, #18214. He died St. Paul Hospital; he had liver cancer. His address was given as 6218 Bryan Parkway, which was the address given in John A. Comstock's book. He was born Riga Michigan, 24 Mar 1879, and was 77 years, 10 days old when he died. He was a retired principal of the public school. His father was Orange Scott Comstock, born in Michigan; his mother was Emma West, born in Ohio. He was buried Restland Memorial Park. The informant was Miss Doris Comstock [the elder daughter].
