Eliza was the daughter of David and Mary Neely, of Kentucky, who were born about 1792. Her father's parents said to have been natives of Ireland. David Neely served in the War of 1812, and was confined in prison at Ft. Waynce. He died in Gasconade Co during the late war [Civil War] at age 71. Mary Neely died in Franklin Co MO in 1875; she was a Ball.
