John was born the 20th of the 11th month, 1697 - that would actually be February of 1698, new style dating.

John's second wife was Phebe, surname unknown. Some of the Ratcliff genealogies show that John may have married Alice Ratcliff, sister of William and John Ratcliff; some say he married Alice's sister Mary. At any rate, his wife was Phoebe in 1734, when he gave land to his sister Mary Fellows Ratcliff James. The Fellow website states the wives as Alice Ratcliff, then Phoebe, then Elizabeth whose surname is also unknown.

John and Pheby Fellow for love and affection to our sister Mary James, now the wife of John James, planter, confirm the tract called Abrahams Lott on north side of Tredhaven Creek, Pitts his bridge branch; line of Goughton, containing 58 acres. 6 May 1735. 6 Aug 1746 Robert Fellows, planter, grandson of Robert Fellows, and son and heir of John Fellows, late of Talbot Co, to Samuel Chamberlaine. For 30#’s gold currency, all that tract of land called Abrahams Lott except two sales heretofore made by my uncle Robert Fellows and my father John Fellows to Mary Ratcliff and James Harvey. Originally on 1st of June 1864 granted to Abraham Hurlock for 200 acres on the north side of Choptank River upon the branches of Third Haven Creek, and also one other tract called Mill road addition, except what my father John Fellows heretofore sold.
