One online database also has an earlier marriage for Ebenezer - says he married 1 May 1830 to Elizabeth Spence in Rutherford Co TN - he would have been only 15 and I doubt this marriage is correct.

Ebenezer was killed in the Mexican War.

His parents are said to have been William M. Fears and Mary "Polly" Douglas who married in Granger Co. TN, Sep 1809. James Fears was bondsman.

A daughter Ellen is seen in online databases, but she was a daughter of the younger Ebenezer.
