Kept "The Douglas Register". Pastor of St. James Northam, Goochland.

His personal family entries, states they came to Virginia on 6 Oct 1750. His parents were William Douglas and Grishild McKeand.

Parson Douglas became a devotee of George Whitefield, a close friend and fellow evangelist of John Wesley. His activities and entusiasiam for Methodism, hymn singing, and testifying, was frowned upon by the Church of England.
