Esther was the daughter of Caleb Nichols and Anne Ward. She was the second wife of John Prentice and married him in 1680 a year after his first wife died. John's first wife was Hester Nichols. These women are often thought of as the same person but in fact were first cousins (their father's were brothers).
She is buried White Hall Graveyard, Mystic, New London Co, CT, as is John Prentice.
