Henry first married Nancy Jane Carr, believed to be a cousin of William Smith. his uncle [probably kin to his wife instead]. He went out to Missouri where the Hales were living. Nancy Carr filed for abandonment and divorced him; she remarried soon after. When Henry came back to Indiana and found out about the divorce, he went back to Missouri.

Young Henry Taylor married Nancy Hale 22 Jul 1844, Platte Co MO. They moved back to Boone Co IN and are in the census there from 1850 - 1880. In 1850 they lived next to his uncle William Smith. Additional details about Henry are in his mother's notes.
