Individual Details
William CLAIBORNE IV
( - Bef 16 Jun 1746)
William was named in the will of his father in 1705 at which time he was a minor.
William died while on a trip back to London. His will was proved in King William County, Virginia on 16 June 1746 and in London on 17 of July of the same year. There was a codicil date the 16th of May of that year, so he must have died between May 16 and June 16.
He is said to have married Elizabeth Whitehead - she was not mentioned in his Will.
Legatees: sons, William and Phillip Whitehead; sisters Elizabeth Lawson and Catherine Greenhill; daughter Philadelphia who married a Fox [Thomas Tunstall Fox], Unity [no relationship stated], daughter Lucy who married Duval; daughter who married an Aylett and had a son William Aylett.
Cousin Bernard Moore of Chelsea, Capt Francis West, Pames Power & Phillip Whitehead Claiborne (when of age) to be Executors.
There is a conflict - in some databases Elizabeth Lawson and Catherine Greenhill are shown to be daughters of William, not his sisters.
