Maj. in Col. Ely's State Militia Regt, Jun 1777.
Major Elias Buel was the son of Capt. Peter Buel, and Martha Huntington (Widow of Noah Grant). He married Sarah Turner, 8 Aug 1758, at Coventry, Tolland, CT. They settled in Huntington Gore, VT. In their old age they lived with their son, Jesse Buel, and are buried in Jesse Buel's plot at Menands Rural cemetery, just north of Albany.
