He is said to have been an erratic and dangerous man who participated in the assiassination of William Lowe in Hawesville over a political quarrel. He tried to kil certain prisoners in the Hawesville Jail. Then he died blowing himself up in an attempt to blow up some of his enemies in the basement of a store.
He was deceased before the 1860 census.
