Hannah may have been a widow when she married Thomas Graves. Her father was Thomas Simmons who named Thomas Graves, son-in-law, as executor of his will in 1794.

Oct Court 1802 Hannah Graves will written 27 Jul 1802. Sons Azariah and Major. My four children Isbell, Azariah, Lewis & Major Graves and Isbell Moore. If Isbell dies before lawful age then to return to my four children. Exec: trusty friend & relations Thomas Yancey, John Graves, Capt. and Thomas Simmons. Wi: J. G. Murphey, Anne Yancey, William Moore. Proved on oath of John Green Murphey.
Isbell Moore was a grandchild, daughter of dec'd daughter Nancy.

"....owing to Joshua Taylor and William Leak, legatees of said Thomas Simmons in right of their wives who were daughters of said dec'd, the sum of 106 #'s to be paid by other legatees agreeable to their allotments which is 1/7 part of the whole.
