Frances married James Hubard, about 1760. In her father's will she received all the slaves that had come to Joseph Morton by the death of her grandmother, Mary Meriwether who had married Thomas Wright Belfield after the death of her first husband, William Colston.

James Hubard was the son of Matthew Hubard of Yorktown, clerk of York County, and his wife Elizabeth. Matthew's will was proved Nov 18, 1745 and names sons James, Matthew & William and a daughter Elizabeth. The Will of Elizabeth Hubard of Bruton Parish, county of York, also mentions son James of "Williamsburg", 1 Sep 1763; probate 16 Jan 1764; she also named son William, grandson Matthew Hubard, and grandaus. Elizabeth, Mary & Susannah Digges.

Mathew was the son of James Hubard of York Co who was deceased by 1744 when there was a proceeding in chancery, naming the heirs of James.
