Individual Details

The notes that are with the death entries, indicate that Hezekiah had sons named Charles Durling [1839-1842] and also a Charles [aft 1844- abt 1850]. The only problem is that "Derling" is named as one of the heirs for the partition of Hezekiah Wright's real estate in 1870. The researcher is not consistent in marking dates and it could be that both entries are a spread for the birth year and neither has a death date. I would very much doubt that there were two Charles Wrights that lived to adulthood. Also the dates for Charles as after 1844-1850 just doesn't make sense because he should have still been at home in the 1860 census when Rebecca and Thomas P. were with their parents as they were born 1841 and 1843.

There was a Charles Durling Wright, born to Durling Wright & Nancy Jane Riley, 14 Jan 1837 and I believe that to be part of the confusion.

There is a Charles W. Wright living in Randolph Co in 1870, in Silver Creek Township, Household 135.. He is age 43, born in KY [1827]. His wife is Catherine, age 28, b. MO. The children all born in Missouri. Martha age 12, Mary 9, Charles W. 8, Lucy P. 5, and Sallie age 1. His age and birthyear could place him in the family of Hezekiah but that would not explain the absence of a Charles and presence of a Derling in the division of the estate.
