Monday Rites for J. H. P. Reed, 84
John Henry Powell Reed, 84, af farmer of Route 1, Mountain Home, died last Friday in a Mountain Home hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday at the Mcclure chapel with Bro. Joe Camp of Clarkridge officiating. Interment was in Reed's Grove Cemetery, north of Mountain Home....
....Mr. Reed, a native and lifetime resident of Baxter County, was born May 10, 1881, the son of Flynn T. Reed and Elizabeth Dover Reed. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Grace Reed, of Mountain Home; a son, Ira, of Wichita, Kans.; five daughters, Mrs. Ollie Tipton of Little Rock, Mrs. Alice Harp of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Lillie Treat, Mrs. Lena Treat and Mrs. Rubye Blecker, all of Mountain Home; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Moore of Mango, Fla.; five stepchildren; 11 step0grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
