Mr. Joe Edd Pippin, age 87, was born June 20, 1916 in Jackson County Tennessee and passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN.
Mr. Joe Edd Pippin was the son of the late Joseph Henry and Martha Rhoda Young Pippin. He was a former employee of Ford Motor Company in Detroit before being inducted into the U.S. Army during WW II, where he attained the rank of Staff Sgt. He was retired from the maintenance department of Tennessee Technological University and was a member of the Pippin Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Joe Edd Pippin was preceded in death by his first wife: Mrs. Mildred Mayberry Pippin in 1985; two brothers: Marlin Thurman and Eston C. Pippin and three sisters: Blanche Pippin, Dycus Pippin and Esther “Queen” Pippin.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Hattie Mae Flatt Pippin of Cookeville; one sister: Miss Golda Nell Lee Pippin of Bloomington Springs, TN, and one niece: Kathy Pippin of Cookeville.
Brother Ronnie Cobb will officiate at the services.
