Miss Mary was the daughter of William and Parthena (Fisher)Hayden, also Kentuckians by birth, who came to Missouri after reaching manhood and womanhood; Mr. Hayden located in Ralls County and Miss Fisher made her home in Pike County. They had plighted their troth in Kentucky and soon after their advent here were united in marriage. She (Parthena) became the mother of nine children, of whom four only survive.
