Individual Details
Clarrisa Peterson
(28 Oct 1782 - 3 Aug 1853)
Clarissa Patterson married Caleb Austin, 28 Jan 1810 in Chelsea, Orange Co VT. Austin researchers give her date of birth as 28 Oct 1785 in Vermont but I believe she was the same lady and they made an assumption she was born in Vermont, since she was married there. The 1850 census did state she was born in NY. She died 3 Aug 1853 in Charleston, Tioga Co PA. Caleb, born 17 Nov 1777 in Essex, MA, died 24 Jan 1853 in Charleston. They are buried in the Austin Cemetery there. They had nine children - I found Caleb & Clarissa and most of their married children in the 1850 census in Charleston.
