Thomas bought 4 acres of land in Smithfield from Thomas Smith 20 Jun 1756. Thomas and Rachel sold land in Smithfield, 1 Oct 1768. He was in the military census of Rhode Island in 1777 and taxed in Smithfield, 1778. He is not found in the 1790 Smithfield census, but when his daughter Philadelphia married in Cumberland in 1794, her father was listed as Thomas of Smithfield.
