Lovett Joshua Lee Sr., died in Paris, Logan Co, AR on 3 Nov 1940 of cerebral hemorrhage. He was widowed. Born 25 Jul 1875. He was a druggist. Father was R. W. Lee; mother was Emmaline Mayberry. The informant was L. J. Lee Jr., of Little Rock, AR. Buried Oakwood Cemetery, Paris, on Nov 3rd.

Buried in Fort Smith National Cemtery: #3309. Lovett Lee, Co. H., 1st Arkansas Infantry. Marker plainly readable. I suspect this is the grandfather and this is for service in the Civil War. What is really weird is that the Civil War Roll of Honor, Vol. XXVI, Ft Smith National Cemetery, lists Lovett Lee and serving in Co I of the 2nd Ark Infantry and has the number of his grave as 1645.
