Individual Details
John Lewis
(1635 - )
John, the 1st, was a member of the House of Burgesses of VA in 1653 and on the King's Council from Gloucester Co 1658-1660. He and his wife Isabella are said to have been the original settlers of Warner Hall, named in honor of Isabella. Augustine Warner took up lands on Piankitank and the tract on which Warner Hall stands in Robin's Neck, so it is probable that the Lewises acquired Warner Hall by this marriage.
