Rhoda married William Cawthon who was the executor of her father's will and administrator of the estate of her brother Joseph who died about a month after the father.

William paid a poll tax in Franklin Co GA in 1800. In 1802, he purchased 102 acres from William Cawthon Sr.and wife Rhoda. He made a tax return in 1811 for the estate of William Cawthon Sr., dec'd and he and his mother were appointed administrators to the estate of William Sr. in July of 1812.

The county Loose Papers include the Lunatic proceedings of William Cawthon.
1 Sep 1848. Rufus K. Walters [son of Robert who was a son of Elijah brother to Rhoda's father and also Rhoda's son-in-law] petitioned that William Cawthon Sr was incapable of handling his affairs and requested a Lunacy Commision.
15 Aug 1848. Hearing to be Sept next: Jackson M. Waters & wife. Elijah Waters & wife Caroline, Abraham Burton & wife Harriett, William and Larkin Cawthon.
6 Nov 1848 William Cawthon appointed guardian of William Cawthon Sr, lunatic, and authorized to rent, hire and sell certain property of the estate
14 Nov 1848 Rhoda Cawthon applied for guardian of William Sr and was given time to comply to law
22 Jan 1849 Rhoda Cawthon having failed to give bond, William Cawthon Jr. confirmed as guardian. Rhoda Cawthon appealed.

Rhoda is said to have died by a fall in Dec 1869 at the home of her daughter & son-in-law Caroline & Elijah Walters, Hart Co GA.

Walters on 12 Feb 1828; Caroline [1812-1876] who married Elijah Walters [1805-1890] - they were 2nd cousins; Rhoda [1815-1899] who married Rufus King Walters on 31 Jan 1839 in Franklin Co GA - they were 2nd cousins; Orville [ca 1812-1841] who married Elizabeth Harrison on 11 Feb 1830; Hannah who married Abraham Barton on 23 Nov 1837 & moved to AR; William [1821-?] who married Elizabeth Cleveland; Larkin [1823-1855] who married Martha Hester Carpenter on 7 Aug 1843 and both are buried Clarke Co, AR. [Larkin is said to have raped his cousin Leah, resulting in her twin daughters Mary & Martha]
