Nowel Burton
(27 Apr 1729 - )
Henrico Co., VA, Deed Bk 1767-74, p. 110
14 December 1768 Norvel Burton to John Stark, infant son and heir of Thomas Stark, deceased, both of Henrico County, for 45 pounds, 90 acres, of which the said Thomas Stark died seized and possessed, lying between the two Westhams, adj. Robert Carter Nicholas, Esq., Julius Burton and Hutchens Burton; and being all that tract that Hutchens Burton, deceased, devised unto the said Norvel Burton by will. [No explanation disclosed how tract passed from Starke to Burton, or vice versa, but it is likely that Thomas Starke, deceased, never received a deed for the property and that is why said tract is being conveyed to his infant]. Wit: Benjamin Woodroof, Cliffin Woodroff, John Hodges, John Sharp. Signed: Norvell Burton. Recorded 2 January 1769.
He had a daughter Ann, named in his father's will.
