Enos Stimson

(25 May 1714 - Bef Dec 1800)

Elizabeth and Enos came to North Carolina in 1755 with her brother, Rev. Shubal Starns. Enos' sister Hannah was married to Elizabeth's brother Peter Starns. They were also part of the group. They are listed as constituent members of the Sandy Creek Church. After 1771 [the Regulator activity & the death of Shubal], the Stimsons went to South Carolina with Ebenezer and Anna Field Starns. They were members of the Raeburn Creek church in Laurens District SC.

In the 1790 census, Enos was listed with one male over 16 and three white females. Laurens District, SC; p.71
In 1800, Mary Stimson was listed as head of household. She had a male child under 10 living with her. She was age 26-45. They were probably late getting around to the census as Enos was likely living until close to the end of the year 1800. Laurens District, p.39.
