Listed as a twin, two and a half months old, in the 1850 census.

Most of the Ancestry trees have an Elizabeth M. Bewley attached as wife of Hampton Webster Nordin.
The marriage record from Pope Co, AR, 29 Mar 1874, has her name as Elizabeth M. "Buey", age 24 (born 1850). He was 47 and this was his second marriage. I would think this was someone else entirely except a descendant of this couple has autosomal DNA matching me, my sister, and my uncle when there is no other possibility except through the Brown lineage. I suspect Elizabeth had a brief early marriage to a Mr. Buey.

Some researchers have assumed she was Martha E. Bewley found in the household of Benjamin Bewley in 1850 in Pope Co, AR - he was 27 with wife Emeline, 22 and children Sarah, 7, Jane H., 5, Meredith, 3 (male), and Martha E., age 1. (the problem here is that Elizabeth M. Brown was not born until 1850) Also on the same page was Anthony Bewley, age 35, with wife Mary Ann, 25, and children Benja., 8, Nancy A., 5, Josaphine, 3, and Mary J., age 1. I have examined brothers, sons, of this family on FamilySearch but did not find anyone married to Elizabeth Brown - however many had no wives attached.

Nordin first married Penelope Elizabeth Herndon, 21 Apr 1847 in Carroll Co, TN. She died in 1873.

Also a Martha Pearl Nordin, b. 14 Jul 1887, died 25 April 1975, Clarksville, has been placed as a daughter of Hampton Webster & "Elizabeth Martha Bewley" with the following census that is certainly NOT this couple, further confusing the lineage. However, it is likely these are the twin daughters. And other databases show that William G. Norton, b. 1830, was a younger brother to
