James Scott Harmon pf Eagle Township, Boone Co, died 23 May 1927 of arteriosclerosis and acute prostatitis. He was born 30 Jan 1857 in Iowa and was a farmer. He was married; wife was Serepta Harmon. Father was Nelson Harmon; mother Catharine Wilson, both born in Indiana. Serepta Harmon was the informant. He was buried May 25th, Salem Cemetery.

Sarepta Harmon Dies at Royalton
Sarepta Harmon, who died at 93 last night in her home at Royalton, was born and lived most of her life in Eagle Creek Township, Boone County.
Mrs. Harmon was born the first year of the Civil War. For 40 years she was a member of Salem Methodist Church. Her husband, Scott Harmon, to whom she was married in 1880, died in 1927.
Services will be at 2 pm Friday in the Salem Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Phillippi Funeral Home, Zionsville.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs Ray Fryback, Indianapolis, Mrs. Guy Wilson, Brownsburg; Ethel Stine, Shelbyville, and Mrs. W. K. Moore, Zionsavilee; a son, Rev. Arthur Harmon, Lafayette; a brother Jesse Marsh, Urbana, IL; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

James and Serepta are buried Salem Cemetery, Zionsville, Boone Co, IN.
