The name is also seen spelled Swindle. Family lived in Perry Co AL in 1850.
By 1860, Nancy had died and Oliver had a new young wife, Margaret A., age 20. Oliver married Margaret Ann Dunkin on 8 Dec 1858 in Perry Co AL. This enumerator did designate "wife" in the occupation blank. I doubt that any of the children were hers.
Oliver was the son of James and Mary Swindle.
An email from Perry Co Archives suggests a 6th child, Minnie Elizabeth, but gives no birth year. She married James Franklin Holley on 9 Jun 1872.
