William was the son of John Lewis of Henrico Co. He deposed on 1 Aug 1689 that he was aged 18.

Home Plantation - 100 acres purchased of William Porter Jr and 100 acres on N. side of white Oak swp to eldest son John. 200 acres on Three Run & a pracel on White Oak Swp & Deep run to be divided beween them to sons WILLIAM and JOSEPH. All residue of estate to wife .... Presented by Elizabeth Lewis , relict of deceased Wm. Lewis proved by Geo Payne and eliz. Johnson to be the words spoken by sd. William Lewis the day before he died Rec. 1 May 1707 (Henrico Co Deeds & will s 1706-1709.
