Mary Jane Allen died 27 Jul 1955 at Nashville General Hospital, Nashville, Davidson Co, TN, where she had been for five days. Her residence was Route 4 (Woodbine), Nashville. She died of cerebral thrombosis and was widowed. Mary was 75, born 8 Jun 1880. Her parents were Richard Dennis and Rhoda Thaxton. Mrs. Frank Hartman of Route 4, was the informant. She was taken to Adairville, KY on 29 Jul 1955 for burial.

Buried in Logan Co KY, but she may have moved back to Nashville after the death of her husband. Rhoda, her mother, was said to be living with this daughter at the time of her death and said to be also buried in Adairville, but not listed in cemetery book.
