Benjamin R. ADAMSON

Benjamin is either the son of Aaron or Abel. His biography states that he was orphaned at the age of three and placed in the service of a man who moved to Marshall Co IN where Benjamin remained until he was 18. He married Sarah J. Hammer in Wayne Co and they removed to Jefferson Co IA for two years and then moved to southern Kansas. In the summer of 1860, they returned to Iowa. He returned to Wayne Co in 1863. In 1865, Benjamin went into business in Muncie, Delaware Co, with his uncle Jonathan P. Adamson. He was still living at the time his biography was written (1881).
