Thomas was dismissed from the Hopewell Friends, 3rd day 6th month 1784 for marrying contrary to discipline - Sarah was not a Quaker.

Tenmile Country and its Pioneer Families: "Thomas Adamson, Jr., son of Thomas and Mary Adamson, was born in Bucks, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1758. He accompanied his parents to the Tenmile Country about 1780, and settled on land bought by his father from George Hoge, situated near Lippencott, on the road from the Children's Home in Greene, County. He died there on July 27, 1816. His wife, whom he married in Greene County, was Sarah Eagon, daughter of James and Mary Eagon, near neighbors to his farm. She died December 24, 1831, aged sixty six years, ten months and fifteen days. Both are buried in Adamson Cemetery. Their children are listed as John, James, Barnet, Joseph, Charles, Josiah, Mary, Cassandra, Sarah who married Jesse Rice, and Debba. The children are listed in order given in the will and not by birth order."
