Land patents: 154.88 acres, the SW 1/4 of Section 30, Twp 2N, Range 1W, Schuyler Co, IL to Thomas Blair, Thomas McKee & Samuel Horney, County Commissioners. Lands in the Military District directed to be offered for sale. 14 May 1827.

In 1837, Samuel patented 77.37 acres, the W 1/2 of the SW 1/4, Section 18, Twp 2N, Range 1W. Other patents in 1837 were to Manlove Horney. By 1840, both Jonathan and Leonidas Horny had patented land in Schuyler Co.
