Ancestry family tree:
This story is passed down through the Harrison family:
William 'Bill' was in a feud over property boundaries in McKee , Ky. and a man was killed. William's gun was found near by. Elisha, Jr. told Thomas, his brother that they needed to get William 'Bill' out of the county before he got killed himself. They took him to the Ozark Mountains somewhere between 1867 and 1870. He ended up on Shepherd mountain in the St. Paul area, then finally on Shepherd Mountain. His descendents live in Arkansas at the present time. Me and my extended family being part of his lineage. A man who remembers the feud, Wick Lainhart, said he could remember an old log cabin that had belonged to William 'Bill'. It sat next to a creek at the mouth of Bill's Branch. Wick said the cabin had holes all over it from shots that were fired during the feud. The feud supposedly ended in 1906. He lived out the rest of his life on Shepherd Mountain in the Ozarks and is buried there in the Bidville Cemetery on Bidville (Shepherd) Mountain.........
