OBITUARY
James Benjamin Jones, son of the late Jasper O. and elizabeth Jones, was born June 17, 1877, and departed this life, Oct 1, 1965 at the Ellison Guest Home in Rocky Comfort at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 14 days.
...He was married to Pear Parker, March 17, 1901 and to this union eleven children were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl and one son, Danny; also three sisters and a brother.
Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Mahala Sneed of Stroud, Okla.; four sons, Dunken, Dennis, and David Jones of California and Donald Jones of Joplin; six daughters, Mrs. Retha Westfall of Rocky Comstock, Mrs. Bertha Brooks of Sulphur, Okla., Mrs. Inez Barnwell, Mrs. Neva Keller, Mrs. Leta Burkhart and Mrs. Wanda Senseney, all of California; 28 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
The first ten years of his married life were spent near Quincy, Wash. Then he moved his family to his home, four miles southwest of Rocky Comfort where he lived until 1945 when he retired in Rocky Comfort.
...Burial was in the rocky Comfort cemetery.
