James Jefferson Hogan

(25 Jul 1841 - 15 Mar 1925)

Enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1861 with Company K of the 4th AL under Gen. Bedford Forrest and made captain.
James Hogan moved to Texas in 1872 when Bud was three.
Children named in his obituary were W. J. Hogarn, J. J. Hogan Jr., Mrs. Charlie Crews, and Mrs. Emma Brown, all of Bells; & Mrs. Mollie L. McCollum of Valley View.
Surviving siblings named in the obit of Bud were J. J. Hogan Jr. of Bells and a sister Mrs. W. T. Brown of Pink Hill.
