I am not at all sure the following is the correct husband for Winnie King - just a man of similar name.

The marriage record states that Sgt Herbert Bice was of Bethel, Fairfield Co, CT - the following person is found in McCurtain Co, OK as Weldon Bice, 1920-1940. Social Security gives parents as Louis V. Bice and Madie Vandiver, which agrees with the census records in McCurtain Co.

There is in the U.S. Dept of Verterans Affairs Death File:
Herbert Bice, b. 16 Nov 1914, d. 17 Apr 1976
Has his enlistment as 30 Apr 1943; released 10 Sep 1943. When he married Winnie in November of 1942, he did so as Sgt Herbert Bice, so was already serving then.

Herbert Weldon Bice is buried Denison Cemetery, Idabel, McCurtain Co, OK, with the dates as above and a military stone - Pvt. US Army, World War II.
