Major Thomas Fenner, son of Captain Arthur and Mehitable Fenner was born on Oct. 27, 1652. He swore allegiance to the English Government in May, 1671 about which time, being of age he probably married. He undoubtedly married as his first wife Alice Ralph, daughter of Thomas Ralph who was born in 1657. Major Fenner was married second to Dinah Borden, daughter of Thomas and Marry (Harris) Borden. He had a sixty acre lot lying near "Hipse's Rock" in the lands of Pawtuxet, containing eighty-eight and one-half acres by standard measure, and also 15 acre lot containing eighteen and three quarters acres. His children were as follows:
Mehitabel who married first Timothy Starkweather; second Samuel Sterry and third Dr. William Blodgett;
Freelove who married Samuel Westcott;
Thomas who married Mary Abbott;
Mary born in 1692;
Joseph born in 1693;
Richard born in 1695 and married first Abigail Sheldon and second Abigail Thornton;

Arthur born on Oct. 17, 1699;
Eleazar born on Sept. 4, 1702 and
John born on Sept. 16, 1705 (died unmarried)

3. THOMAS FENNER, son of Arthur and Mehitable (Waterman) Fenner, was born in Providence, R. I., Oct. 27, 1652. He married first, Alice, born Jan. 13, 1657, daughter of Thomas Ralph; second, July 26, 1682, Dinah, born Oct. 1665, daughter of Thomas Borden. She died Dec. 18, 1761, and he Feb. 27, 1718.
