Joseph Gilbert, farmer, Terre Haute, was born in Terre Haute, Vigo county, Indiana in 1839, and is the son of Curtis Gilbert who was one of the pioneers of Vigo county... Joseph Gilbert has been enganed in horticultural pursuits in which he has taken quite an interest. He has been secretary of the Agricultutal Society since its organization and has been secretary and president of the Horticultural Society and president of the State Horticultural Society.
