WILLIAMSBURG - William Harvey Trevilian Jr., age 89, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Harvey Trevilian Sr. of Ark, Gloucester County, and a resident of Williamsburg since 1974, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 1995, at Williamsburg Community Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Iva K. Trevilian. He is survived by a niece, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Trevilian was a member of the College of William and Mary Class of 1930. He spent most of his working life in the fields of public and private accounting and financial management. Among positions he held were those of treasurer, controller and director of General Aircraft Equipment, South Norwalk, Conn.; vice president, treasurer and director of Western Newspaper Union, New York, N.Y.; and executive vice president and director of E.A. Corp., Fair Lawn, N.J. He was a member of the Financial Executives Institute, American Management Association and the National Industrial Conference Board.
He was an active golfer for many years. Mr. Trevilian held membership in the Pelham Country Club, Pelham, N.Y., and later the Ridgewood Country Club, Ridgewood, N.J., where he served as treasurer and member of the board. Locally, he was a member of both the Golden Horseshoe and Kingsmill Golf clubs.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Chapel by the Rev. James B. Grimmer. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
The Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, is in charge of arrangements.

William Harvey Trevilian Dies in Gloucester County
Gloucester, April 6 - William Harvey Trevilian, 64, leader incivic and business affairs of Gloucester County until he retired several years ago because of failing health, died at his home at Ark, this county, Wednesy.
Mr. Trevilian had been a director of the Bank of Gloucester since 1930 and operated a mercantile business at Ark which bore his name for more than 43 years. He served as the first president of the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, and was superintendent of Bellamy's Methodist Sunday School for over 20 years. He was a member of the local school board for 15 years, during part of which time he served as chairman, and was a member of Gloucester Lodge No. 7, A.F. & A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Hart Trevilian, two daughters, Mrs. J. Brown Farinholt of Gloucester, and Mrs. Walter Edward Allmond, of Ark; two sons, William Harvey Trevilian, USN, of the University of Oklahoma; three sisters....
