A daughter was born to Mr. & Mrs. B. R. Hays this morning at two o'clock at the Blytheville hospital. The baby who weighed six pounds and nine ounces has been named Ardavene May. This is the Hays' second child, the first being a son.

Announcement of the engagement of Ardavena May Hays to Eddie Densmore Black is made today by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. B. R. Hays of Blytheville. Mr. Black is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John M. Black of Bentonville. Both were graduated from the University in June.... wedding is planned for Aug 27
