Sam Hays, 57 of Mountain-burg died July 24, 2008, at his home. He was born June 29, 1951, in Hamburg. He was a heavy equipment operator and he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by this parents, Earl and Ruby Hays; and a brother, Russ Hays.
He is survived by his wife, Michele of the home; a daughter, Kristall Hays of Denver; Michele's two sons, Steven and Shanel; two nephews, Cliff and Clint Hays of Van Buren; and three grandchildren, Michael Leo of New York, Sam Medley of Denver and Frankie Hays of Denver.
A family-held memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the home of Sam and Michele Hays. Mr. Hays was cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
