George Bootes, 86, died Oct. 2, 2007. He was born May 9, 1921 in Durant, OK to Raymond and Georgia Mae (Carpenter) Bootes. A Navy veteran and member of DAV, he retired from Tinker AFB as a firefighter instructor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 30 years, Marcie; 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by two daughters, Marcie Campbell and husband Hal and Debby Bootes; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be Sat., Oct. 6, 2007, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
